Nepean Sports Day

You reckon you’ve got what it takes to take on other parishes in the deanery, prove it next Sunday 14th November 2010, at the second annual Sports Competition. 8 parishes will battle it out in touch footy, soccer, basketball and netball to claim bragging rights as the deanery’s most athletic parish. So represent BASIC GIFT next Sunday to go for the win.

If you’re not the athletic type, come down and support your team. We need all the support we can get! Bring signs, pom poms, face paint, you name it! Support BASIC all the way.

Details for this event can be found on the flyer. For more information, please contact Michael at basicgift.holyspirit@gmail.com .

McHappy Day

BASIC GIFT is supporting McDonalds by playing at Mchappy Day next Saturday, 13th November (Time still needs to be specified). Last year, McHappy Day raised over $2.4 million for Ronald McDonald house Charities. All the money raised went towards helping seriously ill children and their families lead happier, healthy lives. McDonalds is aiming to raise $2.8 million. So come down to St Clair, buy a big mac and enjoy the music, fun and festivities.

Michael Dela Cruz will be announcing the WYD plan for the Augustinians next Youth mass. There are currently 20 + people from St Clair going . Add to that number by coming along next Sunday, 14th November, to hear where the group will go for pilgrimage, costs and how to be involved.

YMN November

Come join us on the 14th and the 28th of November for a special youth mass and youth night. With under a year to go until WYD, BASIC GIFT is conducting their youth nights focused on the theme of WYD, “Planted and built up in Jesus Christ, Firm in the faith”. We ask that all WYD pilgrims please attend these youth nights as we prepare and grow spiritually in the faith. Even if you’re not going to WYD, you are still welcome to come along and join in the fun, the food and faith. Bring a friend, a relative or someone you think would enjoy this. See you there!
